Chargers News: NFL Writer Analyzes How J.C. Jackson's Return to Elite Form Benefits LA Defense

A healthy and dominant J.C. Jackson could go a long way for the Bolts

The Los Angeles Chargers certainly made a splash last offseason when they secured All-pro cornerback J.C.

Jackson was widely regarded as one of the best cornerbacks in the game at the time after a stellar 2021 campaign. The Chargers had high hopes for Jackson, expecting him to make a significant impact in the upcoming season. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned.

Jackson struggled early on and, to make matters worse, he suffered a season-ending knee injury just a quarter of the way through the season.

Since then, Jackson has been diligently rehabbing his injury, working hard to make a strong comeback. The Chargers will rely heavily on their defense, and Jackson's presence and performance will be crucial to the team's success. Heading into his second season with the team, Jackson should feel more comfortable in his role.

NFL writer Ted Nguyen appeared in the Guilty as Charged podcast and said he believes that Jackson has the potential to regain his All-Pro form in 2021 and help his other teammates succeed in the process, being more comfortable in the LA system.

It remains to be seen if Jackson can indeed reclaim that status, but at just 27 years old, he still has plenty to prove in his career.

The Chargers and their fans eagerly await Jackson's return to the field, hoping that he can live up to the expectations set for him. His previous success and the potential he possesses make him a key piece in the Chargers' defensive puzzle.

Only time will tell if he can overcome his setbacks and reclaim his status as one of the elite cornerbacks in the game.
