The Chargers went through some ups and downs for the better part of the 2022 season. Games they should've won went sideways, and the injury bug moved around the team. LA suffered several injuries, but none were more impactful than their star corner J.C. Jackson.

Jackson missed most of the 2022 season with a ruptured patellar tendon he suffered in late October. He's been rehabbing ever since, and things seem to be going in the right direction.

TMZ Sports chatted with the Chargers' corner and told them he expects to return to the field at "110 percent" and how his comeback is "going to be big."

Jackson suffered the season-ending injury against the Seattle Seahawks late in the second quarter.

The 27-year-old signed five-year, $82.5 million contract with the Bolts in hopes of revamping their secondary. He didn't make a great impression in his first handful of games, as he played well below what he was earning with the team.

J.C. said he's feeling great; Chargers GM Tom Telesco said he expects him to be ready to go by training camp, so hopefully, that is the case. We will need the 2021 version of J.C. if the Chargers want to be recognized as a juggernaut in the AFC and beyond.

The pieces are in place for the defense to be one of the best this season. We'll see how J.C. and the crew respond in 2023.

We're all looking forward to the return of Jackson real soon.
