Even though he wasn't supposed to start today, quarterback Sam Howell is playing the best football he's played in the past three weeks. So far today, Howell has completed 9 of 13 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown.
The touchdown grab was McLaurin's fourth catch of the day, and he's racked up 61 of Howell's 100 yards. The score is McLaurin's fourth touchdown of the year and he's quietly had another good season amidst a disappointing one for Washington.
If the Commanders want to shake up the NFC and pull out a major upset, more plays like this will be needed in the second half.
