As a sophomore, he played in all twelve games and had a seventy-nine-yard punt, which was a school record. During his junior year, he played in all twelve games and averaged 41.5 yards per punt, which ranked first in the Big Ten. During the shortened 2020 season, he played in all nine games and averaged 42.3 yards per punt, which ranked ninth nationally. He had a fantastic senior year, playing in all thirteen games, averaging 45.3 yards per punt, and setting an NCAA record. Named to the coach's 2021 First Team All-Big Ten. He decided to use his extra year of eligibility. During the 2022 season, he played in all twelve games, totaling thirty-two punts inside the twenty-yard line, which was the best in the nation. Recipient of the Ray Guy Award, which is given to the best punter in the country.
