One-Liner:

A sure-handed possession receiver that displays competitive toughness on every snap.

Evaluation:

Traditional X/Z receiver build. Plays as the flanker, F, and boundary X. Some utility usage on orbit motions and designed Wr runs. Can win against press, showing the ability to cross leverage and display functional play strength through the catch point. Good blocker, gets up to safeties, and opens rush lanes or alleys for screens. Competitive player that wants to display physicality. Hands catcher that can pluck the ball away from his body. Can stack corners vertically and win down the boundary on fades. Sells hard on double moves allowing him to separate and win over top. Consistently plays through contact with notable body control and hand positioning. Stiffer athlete that isn’t elite as stop-start artist. Tighter hips make his suddenness less noticeable. Tends to take too long at the top of his route. Struggles breaking off his stem in a timely amount of steps. Can run away if given a clear path to the Endzone but not a burner. More of an underneath-middle-of-field threat compared to one who wins on a vertical plane. Wilson is a sturdy target that can separate with his physicality and body control. His strong hands and competitive toughness in tandem both as pass catcher and blocker, lending him usefulness as an NFL prospect. He won’t blow you away in terms of his athletic profile of ability to separate vertically but he is a solid player who can see slot usage at the next level.
