Eagles Reveal Kelly Green Throwback Jerseys: LOOK

The Philadelphia Eagles have finally given fans the big kelly green reveal.

The Philadelphia Eagles bombarded Philly fans with what they've been waiting for on Saturday, as the team revealed its long-anticipated kelly green throwback jerseys on social media.

The Eagles poked fun at fans for all the early leaks that have been happening leading up to the big reveal, but made sure to provide the "high-res version" this time around.

Take a look:

The Eagles first introduced kelly green as their primary color in 1935, supplanting the previous light blue and yellow color scheme, which they paid respect to in a controversial 2007 throwback. Kelly green stuck as the main color for over 60 years (with a slight hue change in the 70s and early 80s), until the Eagles introduced their current midnight green uniforms in 1996. Save for that one game in 2010, the Kelly green jerseys haven't been seen since, until now that is.

The Eagles are far from the first team to jump on the throwback train this offseason. With the NFL retracting its one-shell helmet rule in 2021, throwback uniforms such as Philadelphia's are now able to come back in their full glory. Other teams such as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans have already taken advantage of the new rule, and now the Eagles are finally joining the club.
