2024 NFL Honors Preview: Falcons' Bijan Robinson Up For Offensive Rookie Of The Year

Atlanta Falcons past and present will be up for some of the league's most-prestigious awards at Thursday's NFL Honors.

All eyes are on Sunday's Super Bowl LVIII matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, but before that, Thursday's NFL Honors will take center stage.

The 13th edition of the NFL's annual awards show will air at 9 p.m. ET on CBS Thursday night, with the event itself taking place at the Resort World Theater in Las Vegas. Actor and comedian Keegan-Michael Key will host the awards show for the third time, having previously done so in 2022 and 2017.

Despite another subpar season, the Atlanta Falcons will have some representation at Thursday's awards show with running back Bijan Robinson being a finalist for Offensive Rookie of the Year. Robinson is a huge long shot to win the award with Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud being all but a lock, but him being a finalist is still an impressive feat on its own.

As a bonus, Atlanta punter Bradley Pinion is the team's nomination for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award after donating $1,000 to Compassion International, a charity that supports child survival centers, for every punt he lands inside the 20-yard line.

Additionally, a couple of legends of Falcons past are up for the highest honor in football: enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Defensive end Dwight Freeney and receiver/kick returner Devin Hester, both of whom spent time in Atlanta near the end of their career, and could receive their gold jackets on Thursday night.

Former Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez will also be in the house to present an award, although which award that is remains to be seen.
