Fans Have Mixed Reactions to Jameson Williams Lighting Fireworks

Jameson Williams posted a video of himself lighting fireworks.

Detroit Lions rookie wide receiver Jameson Williams does not seem to mind at all the criticisms he has faced due to his actions on social media.

After facing heavy scrutiny from the media and fans for posting on social media at all hours of the day, the speedy wideout was seen engaging in a semi-risky behavior over the 4th of July holiday

In a video posted on social media at 1:15 a.m., the speedy wideout is seen taking a lighter to fireworks.

Many fans are very leery of professional athletes engaging in risky behaviors, as one misstep can quickly end a promising career.

Former NFL player Jason Pierre-Paul suffered a severe hand injury eight years ago lighting fireworks.

According to Sports Illustrated, "Pierre-Paul was rushed into surgery, where more than a dozen pins were inserted to stabilize his injury, which included a broken thumb, an index finger that would most likely require amputation, a middle finger that would never be the same and a charred palm in need of multiple skin grafts. Horrifying photos of the aftermath, including those following Pierre-Paul's final skin graft, show a tattoo, once on the football star's forearm, now transplanted to the area surrounding his damaged middle finger."

The reaction online to 97.1 The Ticket radio host Jim Costa posting the video online was very mixed, as fans either blasted the young Lions wideout or shared their opinion that everyone needs to leave Williams alone.

Here is a sample of the reaction to the 2022 No. 12 overall pick lighting fireworks.
