Look: Jared Goff Plays Pickleball with Supermodel Fiancee

Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports sweeping the nation.

Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff and supermodel fiancee Christen Harper participated in one of the fastest growing sports on the Fourth of July.

After spending a portion of the week working out with teammate Amon-Ra St. Brown out on the football field, the veteran signal-caller enjoyed a doubles match of pickleball before celebrating the holiday at a festive gathering out on the West coast.

Pickleball has become all the rage over the past several years, as the game has grown in the United States and overseas.

The court reminds people of an abbreviated tennis court, with players using paddles and a plastic ball with holes to try and defeat their opponent (s).

According to the official USA pickleball website, "Pickleball was invented in 1965 on Bainbridge Island, a short ferry ride from Seattle, Washington. Three dads -- Joel Pritchard, Bill Bell, and Barney McCallum, whose kids were bored with their usual summertime activities, are credited for creating game. Pickleball has evolved from original handmade equipment and simple rules into a popular sport throughout the US and Canada. The game is growing internationally as well, with many European and Asian countries adding courts."

A standard pickleball court is the exact same size as a doubles badminton court and measures 20×44 feet.
