Raiders Reunion (of Patriots): Surreal Scene Caught on Camera

Former New England Patriots teammates Jakobi Meyers, Jimmy Garoppolo and Phillip Dorsett are now together in silver and black for the Las Vegas Raiders.

It's one thing to see your ex-girlfriend. It's another to see her out and about and hugging ... two of your other ex-girlfriends?

In last week's flurry of free-agency signings, the New England Patriots essentially chose receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster over receiver Jakobi Meyers. But, of course, it wasn't that simple.

While the Pats are obviously convinced that Smith-Schuster will provide more bang for basically the same buck than Meyers, New England fans can't ignore the franchise-building going on out west in the desert.

A year after hiring former Patriots' offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels as their head coach, the Las Vegas Raiders continue to construct "Patriots West" with the signing of three former New England offensive players:

Meyers. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Receiver Phillip Dorsett.

Dorsett and Garoppolo were teammates in New England and won a Super Bowl together in 2017. Meyers played for New England from 2019-22, and was the team's leading receiver last season.

Their reunion was caught on camera by Raiders social media and displayed for the world - and bittersweet Pats fans - to see.

Garoppolo and Meyers both signed three-years deals, while Dorsett signed a one-year contract.

So if the Pats' new offensive plan with coordinator Bill O'Brien, Smith-Schuster and backup running back James Robinson doesn't pan out, fans can always tune out west to see a surreal sight:

Raiders games in which McDaniels calls plays for Garoppolo to throw passes to Meyers and Dorsett.
