Rams Showing Draft 'Interest' in D-III DB Standout

The Los Angeles Rams are digging deep for talent in the draft. But with the secondary experiencing a bit of an overhaul this offseason, they're taking this to new levels.

When it comes to making up for their 5-12 season, the Los Angeles Rams are looking for any talent they can get headed into the 2023 campaign, and general manager Les Snead seems to have certainly done his draft research.

Per reports from KPRC2 in Houston, the Rams are one of a handful of teams showing interest in Baldwin-Wallace defensive back Anthony Kendall, reportedly joining the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Miami Dolphins and Dallas Cowboys.

Baldwin-Wallace is a Division III program right outside of Cleveland in Berea, Ohio. The Yellow Jackets went 7-3 this past season.

Kendall finished the 2022 season with a team-high three interceptions, 12 pass breakups, one forced fumble and one sack.

However, the 5-10, 180-pound defensive back has drawn NFL attention due to his impressive workout numbers. While running a 4.44 40-yard dash and showing off a 39.5-inch vertical is already impressive, his numbers in other drills rivaled those of prospects at the combine.

Kendall's 4.35 shuttle time would've been the eighth-best among his position at this year's combine while his 11-foot, one-inch broad jump would've been fourth-best at his position.

The Rams have lost multiple bodies in the secondary this offseason, headlined by Jalen Ramsey and Taylor Rapp.

While Kendall is no Ramsey, he could be a talented developmental piece in a young but budding secondary.
