Rams Still 'Shopping' WR Allen Robinson With Trade Suitors

The Los Angeles Rams want to move receiver Allen Robinson. The only question now is, who will take him?

The Los Angeles Rams are in need of major punch at wide receiver but seem not to believe that Allen Robinson can provide quarterback Matthew Stafford with that.

And now, reports have surfaced that the franchise is persistent in shopping the nine-year veteran as this offseason draws on:

Robinson, 29, was a 2015 Pro Bowler behind leading the NFL with 14 receiving touchdowns while with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

He put together two consecutive 1,000-yard seasons with the Chicago Bears in 2019 and 2020 but appears to be far removed from premiere play.

In his lone year in Los Angeles last season, Robinson took the field in 10 games, grabbing 3.3 receptions and 10.3 receiving yards per game with three total touchdowns.

It marked one of the worst statistical seasons of his professional career.

Last spring, Robinson signed a three-year, $46.5 million deal with the Rams. His contract carries cap hits north of $18 million for the upcoming 2023 and 2024 seasons -- clearly a situation the front office wants to avoid taking on.

Earlier this month, NFL.com reported that L.A. gave Robinson's agent permission to seek a trade and that the franchise is 'willing to pay a portion of Robinson's $15.25 million guaranteed salary to facilitate a deal.'

Teams such as the New York Giants, Carolina Panthers and the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs have had their names swirl in the rumor mill in connection to a Robinson signing.

And both Robinson and his team will vehemently move toward gifting him a new landing spot prior to the start of training camp.
