NFL.com Mock Draft Predicts Rams Trade with Texans

In their latest mock draft, NFL.com has the Los Angeles Rams trading back with the Houston Texans

As the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine unfolded, it provided experts with invaluable insights into the upcoming crop of prospects, bringing us a step closer to the highly anticipated NFL Draft.

This event not only shed light on the emerging talents but also offered clues as to how teams might recalibrate their draft strategies in light of the top performances.

In their latest mock draft, NFL.com has them doing just that suggesting that the Rams trade back with the Houston Texans in order to bolster their offensive line with the addition of Oklahoma's Tyler Guyton.

Guyton, known for his versatility, primarily manned the right tackle position for the Sooners but also demonstrated proficiency on the left side. His solid performance earned him recognition as an honorable mention All-Big 12 player, having started in nine out of the ten games he played last season.

"While the Rams possess the financial flexibility to pursue options in free agency, the opportunity to enhance their left tackle position through the draft presents an enticing proposition," noted NFL.com's Lance Zierlein.

Meanwhile, in their move up, the Texans selected cornerback prospect Quinyon Mitchell to pair with the young star talent at the other corner spot, Derek Stingley Jr.

Although the Rams face multiple areas to address, their ample projected cap space positions them well to make moves in free agency. However, the opportunity to enhance either tackle position through the draft could present too enticing a prospect to overlook.
