Phil Simms Predicts Which NFL Team Will Draft Oregon's Bo Nix

Phil Simms is back with another QB breakdown, this time predicting which NFL team will take Bo Nix.

Phil Simms has been breaking down the QB play for the talent that will be part of the 2024 NFL Draft. He has commented on USC's Caleb Williams, LSU's Jayden Daniels, UNC's Drake Maye, and now Oregon's Bo Nix.

While Nix won't likely be a first-round pick, he will go to a QB-hungry team. Simms predicts which team and which round Nix will be drafted on Simms Complete.

"What else can you ask for? So he won't have the best arm in the NFL, but he's going to be in the middle of the pack. And there's a lot of guys in the middle of the pack that win a lot of games. They win Super Bowls."

Simms is indicating what many analysts believe about Nix. He is a middle-of-the-pack type of QB. However, these are just projections right now. Many believed that Tom Brady was a middle-of-the-pack QB, but look what happened there.

That's not to say that Nix can rise to Brady's level, but under the right leadership and training—he can be a QB who wins games.

"I try to think of teams like, if he fell to the second round, that the Los Angeles Rams would. You got Bo Nix... all that experience and you know what he is...teams like that. Well, you [Nix] have no chance to beat him [Stafford] out but we're going to train you and get you ready maybe one day to be a starter because we got this guy in front of me."

Simms is indicating that the Los Angeles Rams could take a flyer on Nix to be the successor for current starter Matthew Stafford. Stafford isn't going anywhere, but he may be on his way out in the next couple of seasons.

Nix could benefit greatly from learning under Stafford. He might also be viable backup to Stafford, who dealt with an injury last season. Nix and the Rams do make a lot of sense.
