How 'Idiot' Ravens Fan Almost Fought Boomer Esiason

On his way home from Sunday's AFC Championship Game between the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs, CBS's Boomer Esiason almost found himself in a physical altercation with a fan.

Sunday's AFC Championship didn't go to plan for the Baltimore Ravens as they fell 17-10 to the Kansas City Chiefs. But neither did the post-game traveling of CBS's "NFL Today" crew, who came into contact with a potentially upset and intoxicated Ravens fan on their way home.

According to Boomer Esiason, he and his fellow co-hosts, Nate Burleson and Bill Cowher, were all at the Amtrak station in Baltimore, waiting for their train ride when they encountered a Ravens fan.

In his recent radio appearance with WFAN, Esiason explained how, after the fan initially walked up to him and Cowher, like a normal exchange between a celebrity and a fan. Things quickly turned into an intense affair, as the fan would later walk back up to the pair and start accosting them with his claim that the NFL was "rigged," which prompted an argument between him and Cowher.

It was at this point that Esiason turned to the person sitting next to him and warned him of what he may do next.

“If he gets any closer I may have to get up and f****** smash this guy in the face," Esiason said. "I am like pissed off now. I am trying to watch the game and this idiot is screaming about how the NFL is rigged and it’s this, that and the other thing.”

According to Esiason, he wasn't the only one who was ready to fight the belligerent fan, as he claimed that Burleson was ready to "come out of his suit."

Luckily for both parties, things never turned physical, as the CBS trio made it to their train, and presumably, the upset fan made it back to his home.
