The Baltimore Ravens were thought to be big players in the running back open market this offseason, yet just hours into the so-called "legal tampering period" some of the bigger names are off the board.

Most recently, former New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley - frequently tied to the Ravens - agreed to a three-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Barkley’s contract is for $37.75 million and includes $26 million fully guaranteed at signing, and is worth a maximum of $46.75 million.

Barkley took to social media to confirm the report.

“Thank you to everyone who has shown me love and support over the past six years,” Barkley said in a separate post. "[F]orever grateful! Excited for the next chapter.”

Barkley has spent all of his first six seasons with the Giants after being selected No. 2 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft. His rookie season he was rewarded with the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year after posting 1,307 yards with 11 touchdowns and catching 91 balls for 721 yards and five more scores through the air.

Also off the free agent market already are former Eagles running back D'Andre Swift, who agreed to terms with the Chicago Bears, former Dallas Cowboys back Tony Pollard, who will reportedly sign with the Tennessee Titans, and ex-Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs, who agreed to terms with the Green Bay Packers early on Monday.

Out of the big names scheduled to hit free agency, ex-Titans back Derrick Henry could still be in play for Baltimore, but he'll come at a hefty price.

Other options are Zack Moss, who's still available, and Austin Eckeler. Both would come at a discount compared to the names already taken off the market and Henry.

The top two backs from Baltimore are still available, as Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins could still return to the Ravens.
