NFL Mock: Offensive Line Remains Ravens' Focus

The Baltimore Ravens have several roster holes that need filling, and the offensive line is looming as the most crucial to fortify.

The Baltimore Ravens are looking to reload the clip in 2024 and attempt to return to at least the AFC Championship game. But to do that, Lamar Jackson again needs to play at an All-Pro level.

Jackson needs protection and the Ravens' offensive line needs to be addressed. Guard John Simpson is already out the door (New York Jets), and fellow guard Kevin Zeitler is still a free agent.

If Zeitler sees his future elsewhere, the Ravens will need to replace two starting linemen. They haven't done it via free agency yet, but they could do it in the draft.

In their latest mock draft, CBS Sports has the Ravens taking Oklahoma's Tyler Guyton.

"Baltimore traded away right tackle Morgan Moses and are left with Daniel Faalele," CBS Sports writes. "The Ravens may feel comfortable with him based on what they have seen in practice but it would also not be a surprise if the team used its first-round selection on Tyler Guyton just as they did eight years earlier with Ronnie Stanley."

Guyton

In Guyton, the Ravens are getting a lineman who, in 2023, played 10 games at right tackle for Oklahoma and didn't allow a single sack and only allowed three quarterback hits.

We can hear Lamar Jackson smiling already.

Despite his size (6-foot 7 ½ inches), Guyton has impressive athleticism and quick feet which allow him to be effective in both the run and passing game.

His pass-blocking abilities are superior to his run-blocking, so if the Ravens do select Tyler, we imagine that will be a point of emphasis in the offseason give Baltimore's rushing attack.

Baltimore is more pass-orientated in Todd Monken's scheme, so when Jackson drops back, he can feel safe with Guyton as one of his protectors.

The Ravens need offensive line help, and in Guyton, could lock away a starting spot for the next decade.
