Here we are less than a week removed from the end of the 2023 season and a back-to-back Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl win, and we're already getting way too early 2024 NFL playoff predictions.

On Friday, Fox Sports host Colin Cowherd offered his take on what teams he thinks will make the postseason next year and battle it out for a chance to play in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.

Cowherd makes the point that over the last decade, six new teams made the playoffs each season, meaning six of the teams that were in the postseason last year won't make it next year.

In the AFC, Cowherd admitted he took the best quarterbacks (excluding the Houston Texans and C.J. Stroud who he predicts will experience the dreaded sophomore slump).

Cowherd has the AFC division winners as Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Indianapolis Colts (and a healthy Anthony Richardson) and the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs.

For Wild Card teams, Cowherd selects the Baltimore Ravens, Jacksonville Jaguars (behind a healthy Trevor Lawrence) and Los Angeles Chargers. Of those teams, the Bengals, Colts, Jags and Chargers missed the playoffs last season.

The Bills have won their division four straight years, and the Bengals have won double digits and won the North anytime Joe Burrow has remained healthy.

It's hard to argue the talent and ability of Burrow and the Bengals, and with the potential free-agent losses in Baltimore, the AFC North could be up for grabs. Especially with a full season of Deshaun Watson in Cleveland and if the Steelers can put together a decent season at quarterback.
