On Wednesday night, Jameis Winston invited 100 young men from the Son of a Saint organization, Junior Zulus, and military veterans to watch a private screening of an inspirational new movie. It was a private screening of the new Lionsgate film "Arthur the King" starring actor Mark Wahlberg.

Before the screening, he also told the Young Zulus, "On a team, you must have your teammates back." The event occurred at the Clearview location of AMC Theatres in Metairie, Louisiana.

Adventure racer Mikael Lindnord wrote "Arthur The King" based on his life's story and a special bond formed with a stray dog he befriended named Arthur.

Screen star Mark Wahlberg plays the character Michael Light in the movie. Light, who's never placed first in an adventure race, is ultimately inspired by the dog Arthur to win a race. Because of Arthur's determination, Light draws his inspiration to capture the first-place medal.

Winston told the audience, "In your race of life, you will have certain friends that are going to be there" to help you persevere through difficult times.

The New Orleans Saints have yet to publicly announce if they would offer the pending free-agent quarterback a new contract as Derek Carr's backup. Last month, Jameis Winston told Saints News Network about his immediate aspirations in the league: "My goal is to be, and my desire is to be, a Super Bowl-winning starting quarterback in this league. Right now, that doesn't look like a very clear picture with the New Orleans Saints."

The National Football League kicks off the free agency period on March 13 at 3:00 PM CT.
