New Orleans Saints Defensive Tackle Reuniting With Sean Payton In Denver

Sean Payton gets another Saints player to the Broncos, gaining a really underrated defensive tackle for his defense.

The Saints have now lost their fourth free agent ahead of the new league, as multiple reports have stated defensive tackle Malcolm Roach is headed to Denver to join the Broncos and reunite with Sean Payton.

Roach, who turns 26 in early June, got injured late in the year and was placed on injured reserve. He was making major progress in the rehab process and was spotted at the HBCU Combine in mid-February and was in very high spirits. The Baton Rouge native actually received an offer from the Saints, but elected to test the market according to a league source.

Roach's new deal is reportedly two years for $8 million, and New Orleans will now have to give a little bit more attention to their defensive line after losing a big run-stopper. The team has now lost four free agents including Roach, with Jameis Winston heading to the Browns, Zack Baun heading to the Eagles and Lonnie Johnson Jr. going back to the Texans.
