The New Orleans Saints held out their play-making star running back, Alvin Kamara, from Friday's practice due to an ankle injury he sustained in this week's practice.   Kamara's game status is officially listed on the Saints injury report as "questionable" for Sunday's upcoming contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Saints are going to limited at wide receiver due to Tre'Quan Smith's ankle injury.  Smith exited the Los Angeles Rams game in week 2 because of an injury.  Expect Sean Payton to increase the snap count for wide receivers Austin Carr and Lil' Jordan Humphrey.  Humphrey was listed as inactive when the Saints faced the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this past Sunday.

Michael Thomas, Ted Ginn and these receivers, including Cook and Hill at Tight End, must help Teddy Bridgewater in the passing attack.   The Jaguars are expected to have mercurial, yet talented cornerback, Jalen Ramsey on the field battling Michael Thomas most of the day.

Fantasy Football Owners may be more concerned about Alvin Kamara's game status and wondering if the Saints will start Latavius Murray.  Yet, some NFL analysts believe Kamara's absence from Friday's walkthrough practice is a cautionary move by the team's coaching staff.  Alvin Kamara is critical to the Saints' offensive attack.

Kamara has rushed for 342 yards for 4.6 yards per rush average and scored one touchdown.  He has caught 26 passes for 241 yards, a 9.3 yard per reception average, with one touchdown.  Latavius Murray has rushed for 94 yards with a 3.9 yards per rushing attempt average and 1 touchdown.  Murray's longest rush was for 30 yards in the opening game against Houston.  His receiving stats are 6 catches for 32 yards.  The comparison of statistics is a drastic difference in production from the Saints' top two running backs.

Only Sean Payton knows how to utilize his offensive weapons and achieve the necessary results on the field.   Saints News Network will report more news and injury updates on today and before the Saints vs. Jaguars football game on Sunday afternoon.
