New Orleans Saints wide receiver Rashid Shaheed was interviewed by WWL Radio sideline reporter Jeff Nowak about his exceptional performance against the Indianapolis Colts.  During the game, Shaheed made three receptions for 153 yards and a touchdown. His longest reception was for 58 yards.

Notably, his final catch on a crucial 3rd and 13 from their 30-yard line resulted in a 51-yard gain, advancing them to the Colts' 19-yard line. This play set up a successful 27-yard field goal by Blake Grupe, increasing the Saints' lead to 38-27.

Nowak asked Shaheed, "What went right in this game for y'all?"

"Well, I'll start off with this week of practice. We were locked in and focused," Shaheed replied. "I felt like we came out and executed the game plan, and now we see what happens when we execute. We can score as many points as we desire."

Sunday's game was Shaheed's first 100-yard performance. "It comes with repetition and practice. All those deep balls, all those take time and practice. And it just comes down to execution and knowing the coverage and me just getting open to him, putting the ball on time, on place. And, that's what happens".

Nowak inquired about what Derek Carr told him in the huddle. "Yeah, same thing every time in the huddle. He looks at me and tells me, Just run. He knows what I have. He knows my ability. And the trust is there. So that's why we're able to execute those plays."

This season, Shaheed has caught 23 passes for 479 yards and scored three touchdowns. During his career in New Orleans, the young wide receiver has amassed 51 catches for 967 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
