Report: The Saints Have Their Next Offensive Coordinator After Agreeing To Terms With 49ers Assistant Klint Kubiak
NEW ORLEANS -- It is finally official, the New Orleans Saints have their new offensive coordiantor. As expected since the culmination of Senior Bowl week in Mobile, Ala., former San Francisco 49ers Passing Game Specialist Klint Kubiak and the Saints have agreed to terms to make him the team's next offensive coordinator.

Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the agreement comes after the Saints' pursuit of Kubiak as their tap target "all along." He also noted that Kubiak was highly-favored by man teams as well. That is great news for fans that were concerned that New Orleans would not be able to land a top candidate as their next play-caller.
Along with Kubiak, additional coaching staff hires are expected to roll in soon. Along with moving on from their coordinator Pete Carmichael, the Saints also parted ways with several positional coaches. The list includes moves at wide receivers coach (Kodi Burns) and offensive line coach (Doug Marrone) along with a senior offensive assistant (Bob Bicknell).
The Saints also lost Quarterbacks coach and Passing Game Coordinator Ronald Curry to the Buffalo Bills, Running Backs Coach Joel Thomas to the New York Giants and Offensive Assistant D.J. Williams to the rival Atlanta Falcons. Kevin Carberry who was the team's offensive line assistant is headed to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Per NOLA.com's Luke Johnson, the Saints have already identified their top candidate at offensive line coach with John Benton, a long-time NFL coach that has a ton of experience in the Kyle Shanahan system. Additionally, the team is expected to also add former Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears Quarterbacks Coach Andrew Janocko to work with starting signal caller Derek Carr.
The remaining hires will trickle through in good time, but the most important move is now official. With the anxiety of a potential heel turn now ruled out, it is all business for New Orleans as it builds out the rest of its staff.
