The New Orleans Saints are hosting free-agent TE Foster Moreau for a visit. This according to a report from Field Yates of ESPN on Saturday. A New Orleans native, Moreau attended high school at Jesuit in New Orleans.

Moreau also played collegiately at LSU, where he caught 46 passes for 550 yards and five touchdowns over his final two seasons. He was then a fourth-round selection by the Oakland Raiders in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Moreau, who turns 26 on May 6, played all four of his seasons with the Raiders before becoming a free agent. He has 91 career receptions for 1,107 yards and 12 touchdowns.

At 6'4" and 250-Lbs., Moreau has always been a strong blocker but has taken time to develop as a receiver. He had five touchdowns as a rookie on just 21 receptions and has improved his route precision every season in the league.

Moreau has played all four of his NFL seasons with QB Derek Carr, now the signal caller for the Saints. He had career-highs in catches (33), yards (420), and targets (54) in 2022. This despite playing behind Pro Bowl TE Darren Waller and missing two games and most of a third with injuries.

A size mismatch against most safeties with deceiving downfield speed, Moreau has already visited several other teams. He's one of the most highly coveted free agents at a deep position.

Moreau is a quality every-down tight end and is familiar with Carr, who likes to target his tight ends. He could flourish in a starting role for the first time in his career.
