The New Orleans Saints signed free-agent running back Zach Zenner on today.   Zenner played with the Detroit Lions from 2015 to 2018.  The Lions signed him as an undrafted free-agent coming out of college from South Dakota State University.

Alvin Kamara tweaked his knee in the Saints win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.  The team worked-out Travaris Cadet, Zenner and other free-agents on Tuesday before extending an offer to Zenner.  Zenner's arrival will help the Saints have the much-needed depth behind Latavius Murray and Dwayne Washington in case Alvin Kamara becomes inactive for the Chicago Bears contest on Sunday.

More information regarding Alvin Kamara's status will be provided by the Saints on Thursday's injury report.

Other Roster Moves by the Saints

The Saints' former first-round draft choice Stephone Anthony was waived by the team in order to add Zach Zenner to the roster.   Also, they added Brian Parker at Tight End to fill the spot voided by P.J. Williams' two-game suspension.
