Seahawks' 'Best Duo': DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett Named Seattle's Finest Pair

As the Seattle Seahawks prepare for another playoff berth this upcoming season, Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf were recognized as an elite duo.

The world is chalk full of elite combinations. Peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese, bacon and eggs and so many more. However, potentially topping all of those is the Seattle Seahawks' dynamic receiver duo of DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

There are few receiver duos that can compete with Metcalf and Lockett, with the Seahawks' pair being named Seattle's best duo ahead of the 2023 season, per CBS Sports

"Lockett and Metcalf are one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL, and reliable no matter who is playing quarterback," CBS Sports writes. "Geno Smith was the Comeback Player of the Year, thanks to the contributions from Lockett and Metcalf. Both players should have more opportunities to get open with Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the fold in 2023."

Of course, there was really no other options for the Seahawks if you're looking at the best duo. One look at the combined numbers from last season tells the story of just how dominant these two were.

In 2022, they hauled in a combined 174 receptions for 2,081 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns. Their 2,081 combined receiving yards accounted for nearly 50 percent of Smith's 4,282 passing yards.

Entering the 2023 season, the Seahawks are once again in prime position to compete for not just a playoff berth but an NFC West crown - and a large reason why is the combined dominance of Metcalf and Lockett at receiver.
