NFL Insider Reveals How Seahawks Can 'Seal' Coach Dan Quinn

The Seattle Seahawks are still searching for their new head coach after parting ways with Pete Carroll.

The search for Pete Carroll's successor is still ongoing, and the Seattle Seahawks are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts.

Among all the coaching candidates that the Seahawks are interested in, everything keeps coming back to one name - Dan Quinn.

The Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator has a history in Seattle, being part of the coaching group that developed the famous "Legion of Boom" and now he is thought to be the front-runner to take over the Seahawks.

ESPN's NFL insider Jeremy Fowler calls Quinn to Seattle an ideal fit and said his previous connection with the Seahawks "could seal it," but anything can happen.

"The Quinn connection very well could seal it, as he's set to meet in-person with Seahawks brass today," Fowler writes. "Quinn understands the culture and is an ideal fit. One question looms: Does relatively new owner Jody Allen seek a new spin on the Seahawks' culture, which requires a departure from the Carroll tree? We'll see. A few intriguing coordinator options for Quinn, should he get the job, would be Chargers OC Kellen Moore and UCLA coach Chip Kelly."

As Fowler states, exactly which way the Seahawks ownership and general manager John Schneider want to go regarding the head coach candidate will revolve around whether the organization wants to have someone who is completely removed from the franchise or has previous connections.

Quinn does seem like the obvious choice and after having several head coaching interviews last season, it will be a formality that when he eventually lands a role somewhere in the NFL this offseason.

Whether or not that is in Seattle is unknown, but Quinn as the Seahawks' head sounds like a good fit.

It's just up to the Seattle hierarchy to decide if he is the one that they want to take over from Carroll and lead a new era of Seahawks football.
