'Congrats 7!': Ex Seahawks QB Russell Wilson Shows Love to Geno Smith on Twitter

Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson and Seattle Seahawks signal-caller Geno Smith showed their respect for each other recently on Twitter.

Following the trade of quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos prior to the 2022 season, his and Geno Smith's career became intertwined, for better or worse, for the rest of their careers.

Now, when Smith plays well and Wilson struggles, the question becomes if Denver made a bad deal. On the flip side of that same coin, if Wilson rebounds in 2023 and Smith's struggles resurface, Seattle will be the ones receiving criticism.

However, despite the link between their respective careers, Smith and Wilson have shown respect for each other regarding the situation. When Smith was voted Fox's Comeback Player of the Year, Wilson congratulated him on Twitter.

In their first season starting for their teams, Smith looked like the perennial All-Pro candidate, while Wilson looked like the wayward journeyman.

Smith had a career year in terms of passing yards and touchdowns, throwing for 4,282 yards and 30 touchdowns while Wilson struggled to the tune of 3,524 yards and only 16 touchdowns.

But despite their respective successes or struggles, the two quarterbacks seem to have nothing but love for each other and are happy to see each other succeed.
