The 2024 NFL Scouting Combine is behind us and Seattle Seahawks executives have gathered the data, reviewed the film and now have some decisions to make before April's NFL Draft.

In the first edition of the AP's 2024 Mock NFL Draft, the Seahawks go defensive line in a familiar face to new head coach Mike Macdonald.

16. Seattle Seahawks: KRIS JENKINS, DEFENSIVE TACKLE, MICHIGAN

"The son of two-time All-Pro nose tackle Kris Jenkins, the younger Kris Jenkins has the ability to wreak havoc in the middle of a defensive line as a premier run-stuffer.

"Jenkins being drafted by the Seahawks would mean he’d reunite with Mike Macdonald, Seattle’s new head coach who was Michigan’s defensive coordinator in 2021. Jenkins played in 14 games (four starts) for the Wolverines in Macdonald’s lone year at Michigan, and Jenkins was second-team All-American and All-Big Ten in 2023."

The Seahawks team could look vastly different next season, not just because of a new coaching staff, but because of the number of players that could leave in free agency. Interior defensive linemen Leonard Williams and Mario Edwards Jr. are both set to hit free agency when the new league year begins on Wednesday.

Interestingly, confirming the biggest storyline of the upcoming draft, the AP has the Chicago Bears giving up on quarterback Justin Fields - the No. 11 overall pick in 2021 - and drafting USC's Caleb Williams first overall.

LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels goes second to the Washington Commanders, while the New England Patriots select North Carolina signal-caller Drake Maye third.
