Lions Sign Steelers CB Cam Sutton to Three-Year Deal

The Pittsburgh Steelers lose Cam Sutton to the Detroit Lions.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are losing cornerback Cam Sutton in free agency as NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the veteran is headed to the Detroit Lions on a three-year deal.

Sutton was the Steelers' top free agent this offseason and was anticipated to receive attention from other teams once he hit the market. He's not headed to the Lions with a three-year, $33 million deal.

Sutton is coming off his best season as a pro, recording three interceptions and 15 pass deflections while also totaling 43 tackles.

The Steelers will now look to replace Sutton in free agency and the NFL Draft. They currently have Levi Wallace, Ahkello Witherspoon and Arthur Maulet under contract for the 2023 season, and three NFL Draft picks in the top 50 selections.
