Packers in Rough Shape for Steelers Game

The Pittsburgh Steelers could hold a pretty big upper hand after the Green Bay Packers' injuries.

PITTSBURGH -- The Green Bay Packers could lose multiple starters in Week 10 when they face the Pittsburgh Steelers. As of now, seven players are in question to play, with chances being slim for at least three stars on defense.

On defense, the Packers came into the weekend with cornerback Jaire Alexander (shoulder) and inside linebacker Quay Walker (groin) being listed as doubtful, and defensive tackle Kenny Clark (shoulder) and safety Rudy Ford (calf) listed as questionable.

On offense, tackle Yosh Nijman (back), guard Jon Runyan (neck) and center Josh Myers (knee) are all questionable.

While Nijman is listed as the backup on the team's depth chart, Myers and Runyan would remove two starters from the Packers offensive line. Royce Newman would start at guard, but Runyan is also listed as the team's backup center behind Myers.

On defense, Green Bay could turn to seventh-round rookie Carrington Valentine for another game on the outside. The Packers are already without their top safety, Darnell Savage, who is on Injured Reserve, and could turn to their backup, Dallin Leavitt, to fill in for Ford.

Head coach Matt LaFleur said, "I'd say so, yeah," when asked if he's concerned about Alexander and Walker being available this weekend.

The team's final inactive list will come out roughly an hour and a half before kickoff, where Green Bay will find out how beat up their starting lineup is against the Steelers.
