Steelers Back in Playoff Picture After Wild Week

The Pittsburgh Steelers are back in the AFC's wildcard spot after Week 14.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are back in the playoff picture after spending just a few days outside of it. Following a wild Week 14 slate, the AFC playoff race looks a little different, but the black and gold find themselves on the inside with an opportunity to stay there.

The Steelers started Week 14 as the 5th seed. Following their loss to the New England Patriots, they dropped to the 8th, removing them from the wildcard spot. But after the Indianapolis Colts lost the Cincinnati Bengals and Houston Texans lost to the New York Jets, Pittsburgh climbed back in as the 6th seed.

The current AFC playoff slate looks as follows:

  1. Baltimore Ravens (10-3)
  2. Miami Dolphins (9-3)
  3. Kansas City Chiefs (8-5)
  4. Jacksonville Jaguars (8-5)
  5. Cleveland Browns (8-5)
  6. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6)
  7. Indianapolis Colts (7-6)

The Steelers will travel to Indianapolis in Week 15 to face the Colts. They'll then head back home to host the Cincinnati Bengals, who hold the 10th seed at 7-6 as well. They finish off the season with a road trip to Seattle to face the Seahawks and then to Baltimore to face the Ravens.
