Steelers RB Jaylen Warren Wins Appeal Against NFL

The Pittsburgh Steelers running back had a significant amount of money awarded back to him by the league.

PITTSBURGH -- The NFL has rescinded the $48,556 fine they penalized Pittsburgh Steelers running back Jaylen Warren with. According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the second-year back and his agent appealed the fine and have since won.

Warren was hit hard by the NFL over the course of multiple weeks, collecting over $90,000 through two fines, both for unnecessary roughness penalties caused by lowering his helmet. He was not flagged for either of the $48,556 fines in-game.

Warren joked after the fine was handed out that he was playing for the "love of the game" because the fine was nearly the same amount as his game check. Now, the undrafted free agent signing will get that game check back in his pocket, with hopes of his second fine being rescinded as well.

The Steelers as a team have been fined over $400,000 this season, with Warren leading the way. Prior to his appeal being won, he was the second-most fined player in the NFL this season.
