Steelers News: Ravens Hire Todd Monken as New OC

The Baltimore Ravens have their next offensive coordinator.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers will welcome Todd Monken back to the AFC North after the Baltimore Ravens announced they have hired the Georgia coach to be their next offensive coordinator.

Monken returns to the NFL after winning two National Championships with the Georgia Bulldogs as their OC/quarterbacks coach. He'll now return to the NFL for his third stint and second team in the division.

Monken comes from a long list of coaching positions throughout college football. However, this will be his fourth team in the NFL, the first being the wide receivers coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars from 2007-2010. After that, he spent as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator from 2016-2018 and the Cleveland Browns OC in 2019.

The Ravens have now replaced their OC, but the questions about Lamar Jackson remain prevalent. As of now, the expectation is that the Ravens will franchise tag their quarterback, but that could lead to a scenario where a trade could take place.

The chances of Jackson signing a long-term deal with Baltimore are also still on the table.
