Former Steelers WR Chase Claypool Injured at Bears Training Camp

The former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver went down with a non-contact injury.

PITTSBURGH -- Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool is dealing with more adversity as he's reportedly gone down with an injury at Chicago Bears training camp.

Claypool was reportedly running a route against Bears cornerback Jaylon Jones when he pulled up and grabbed his hamstring. Claypool missed time during OTAs and minicamp because of a leg injury, and may have re-aggravated it as Chicago nears their preseason opener.

Claypool started training camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list but was removed only a day later. He's since made plenty of highlight-worthy plays that has surfaced on social media.

It's unknown the extent of Claypool's injury or how long it will keep the veteran wide receiver sidelined for. In the meantime, Chicago will rely on Darnell Mooney and D.J. Moore as their top wide receivers for Justin Fields.
