Steelers Favorites to Land DeAndre Hopkins

The Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to pursue the All-Pro wideout.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are currently the odds-on favorite to land Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who is believed to be on the trading block as the deadline approaches after Week 8.

BetOnline.ag currently has the Steelers leading the pack for Hopkins as the deadline nears. Pittsburgh sits with 5/1 odds, followed by the Cleveland Browns at 11/2, Seattle Seahawks at 6/1, and the Los Angeles Chargers and Seattle Seahawks tied with 7/1 odds.

Hopkins, 31, signed a two-year, $26 million deal with the Titans this offseason. However, his deal includes an out in 2024 that would leave Pittsburgh with just over $7 million in dead cap.

Pittsburgh's receiving core just got Diontae Johnson back, and with the rise of George Pickens, their top two spots are seemingly secured. Still, there has to be some reason sportsbooks believe Hopkins is going to make his way to the Steelers.

As for compensation in the trade, it's hard to imagine the Steelers would give up much for a 31-year-old receiver.
