Steelers QB Kenny Pickett's Car, Playbook Stolen

The Pittsburgh Steelers nearly had a disaster.

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett had a scary run-in with a car thief, who decided to take his vehicle during a radio interview with 93.7 The Fan.

According to ESPN and Steelers Now, Pickett's vehicle was taken this week during an hour-long appearance on the local sports radio station. Police have since arrested 60-year-old Christopher Carter for the crime.

Reports claim Carter took the car just before 3:30 p.m. from a dealership and were able to identify the plates of Carter's personal vehicle. Later that day, police responded to a domestic incident at Carter's address, where they found Pickett's car.

Inside the car was Pickett's playbook, which Carter likely didn't know was in the vehicle at the time. If it was leaked or sold, the Steelers could be facing plenty of challenges to re-write their entire offense before the season.

Both the car and the playbook have been returned to Pickett.
