Steelers Miss Out on Jalen Ramsey

The Pittsburgh Steelers are watching as the Los Angeles Rams and Miami Dolphins work out a deal.

PITTSBURGH -- Despite plenty of buzz from the fanbase about the "what if," the Pittsburgh Steelers did not land the Jalen Ramsey sweepstakes, as the All-Pro cornerback is likely headed to the Miami Dolphins, per multiple reports.

According to Josin Anderson, there's "high likelihood" a deal gets done between Miami and the Los Angeles Rams, who will make Ramsey the latest member of their Super Bowl-winning roster to leave. The team has cut Bobby Wagner and Leonard Floyd this offseason.

Ramsey is just 28 and has accumulated three First-Team All-Pro selections and has made the last six Pro Bowls. He recorded four interceptions and 18 pass deflections last season.

The Steelers are certainly on the hunt for a cornerback, but Ramsey was never really an option for them due to cost. Instead, re-signing Cam Sutton seems like their likeliest route, with another corner coming in the NFL Draft.

However, Sutton will have a market for the Steelers to compete with.

They currently have Levi Wallace, Arthur Maulet and Ahkello Witherspoon under contract.
