Steelers Get Starter Back on Defense

The Pittsburgh Steelers will get Montravius Adams back.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers will have their starting nose tackle Montravius Adams back in Week 14 against the New England Patriots, marking his first game back from an ankle injury in five weeks.

Adams was questionable heading into Week 13 but was made inactive by kickoff. He practiced as a full participant for the first two days of practice last week, but was limited on the final day of preparation for the Cardinals. He was then ruled out before the game.

Head coach Mike Tomlin said Adams is no longer considered questionable and should be available to play in Week 14 against the Patriots. He's still listed as the starter on the team's depth chart.

Expect Pittsburgh to continue to let rookie Keeanu Benton play a hefty amount of snaps even with Adams back. The second-round pick has 30 tackles and two forced fumbles this season, and has battled two passes at the line of scrimmage.

Tomlin didn't have very positive updates on the rest of the team's injury list with Kenny Pickett (ankle) out against the Patriots, and linebacker Elandon Roberts (groin) and guard Isaac Seumalo (shoulder) questionable heading into the week.
