Steelers Suffer Another Concerning Injury

The Pittsburgh Steelers have lost both of their star edge rushers.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers are now dealing with not one but two concerning outside linebacker injuries heading into Week 15. According to Pro Football Talk, superstar edge rusher T.J. Watt has entered concussion protocol after the team's Week 14 loss to the Patriots.

Watt left the field twice during the game to be evaluated by trainers. The first time he appeared to take a hit in the face by running back Ezekiel Elliott's knee and then later he was taken to the medical tent with the NFL's concussion observer. Both times he returned to the field.

The Steelers have also placed outside linebacker Alex Highsmith in concussion protocol. Both will need to return to practice and clear protocol before next weekend's game in order to play.

The Steelers' extended break should help.

If neither can go, the Steelers will turn to veteran Markus Golden and rookie Nick Herbig. They would also likely elevate Kyron Johnson from the practice squad.
