Steelers Drop Draft Hint, New Free Agent WR

The Pittsburgh Steelers may have shown their hand in the NFL Draft.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Steelers have a new name surrounding them, with some believing he's the best fit at wide receiver. Meanwhile, they're dropping NFL Draft hints and could move on from one of their offensive line starters.

The Steelers have been linked to free agent wideout and former Dallas Cowboy Michael Gallup, with Pro Football Network believing he could be their replacement for Diontae Johnson. There's only one problem - Gallup isn't capable of replacing Johnson.

The Steelers only have one remaining path to finding a No. 2 wide receiver, and it's not free agency.

When it comes to the NFL Draft, Pittsburgh decided to leave a very important name out of their Pro Day dinner plans. Maybe we're reading too far into it. Maybe, the Steelers aren't as sold on an Alabama star as many of us believe.

And what's this about moving on from their starting offensive tackle? One Steelers analyst believes the team could find a way to ditch one of their own, and frankly, it makes a lot of sense for them to do so.
