NASHVILLE - Before his signing with the Tennessee Titans, most fans of the team had never heard the name Daniel Brinskill. However, the former 49ers offensive lineman is set to take his shot at earning a starting role in 2023.

On Monday, Brunskill and the other free-agent additions to the team's roster spoke with local media for the first time at Baptist Sports Park.

Brunskill, who has a working relationship with new Titans general manager Ran Carthon, was asked if he felt this might be a place he could come to someday when he heard of Carthon's hiring by Tennessee.

"Definitely, I mean, going into free agency knowing that there's 9ers guys going out to other places, you definitely think of it as probably your first option," said Brunskill. "I'd say that's definitely true."

A versatile player, who has played all five line positions for the 49ers, Brunskill was asked if there was one position head coach Mike Vrabel had spoken with him about specifically.

"No, we haven't really gotten into the specifics on what position or anything like that," said Brunskill. "At the end of the day, it's just how do we get on the field and how we play. That's where I want to be at and I've got starts at all five, and I don't mind playing any position, just whatever position gets me on the field."

As for what aided him in his decision to sign with Tennessee, Brinskill made an astute observation.

"They like to run the damn ball, so I like running the ball," quipped Brunskill.

While able to play all five spots, Brunskill does have a comfort level with the right side.

"Playing on the right side, I've played more at that, so I'm most comfortable and being honest, it would be the right side, whether right guard or right tackle, but at the end of the day, like I said, I just want to play football, so whatever position I can go out there and play on I'll go play, added Brunskill. "I don't mind playing left guard, left tackle, center, any of those positions, I'll enjoy, and I just want to play football."
