NASHVILLE - The Tennessee Titans are reportedly finalizing a one-year deal worth up to $5 million with former Tampa Bay cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting, according to an early morning report from Jordan Shultz of TheScore.

It was reported on Sunday night, by Ian Rappaport that Murphy-Bunting, would be visiting the Titans on Monday; however, it seems the two sides were able to agree sooner than initially thought.

A second-round selection in 2019, Murphy-Bunting, has started in 36 of 53 games he's played over four seasons with Tampa.

Per Pro Football Focus, Murphy-Bunting posted a 51.2 percent completion rate allowed and a 59.6 passer rating against in 2022.

At 6'0" and 195, Murphy-Bunting has good size and matches that size with a 4.42 forty time he posted during his combine workout. He was also part of the Bucs Super Bowl LV winning team. In short, he's played in and should add a winning culture to the Titans.

There is one caveat however, Murphy-Bunting comes with a history of injuries, where over the last two seasons he missed time with a dislocated elbow in 2021, and a quad injury in 2022.

The Titans have scheduled a player's media availability for 10:30 am Monday morning. Some of the new additions will be made available for comments, and All Titans will be there with more later in the day.
