Al Michaels Will Remain at Sunday Night Football as NBC Denies ESPN's Acquisition Request
Michaels has two years left on his contract with NBC

ESPN has also reportedly began talks with Peyton Manning to join Monday Night Football, but Al Michaels will not be joining him in the booth either way. NBC denied ESPN's request to open talks with Michaels with NBC Sports spokesperson Greg Hughes saying "We look forward to Al completing his contract and calling Sunday Night Football games on NBC," Michaels has two years remaining on his contract with NBC and the network already has Mike Tirico lined up to take over Sunday Night Football
