Running back Christian McCaffrey is signed a four-year extension with the Carolina Panthers for $64 million. This makes McCaffrey the highest-paid running back in NFL history, just above RB Ezekiel Elliot at $15 million per season. McCaffrey has become a key member of the Panthers' offense racking 2,392 total yards with 19 touchdowns in 16 games last season. The Panthers drafted McCaffrey, who was in the fourth year of his rookie deal, with the No. 8 pick in 2017.
