The Dallas Cowboys are entering Week 7 coming off a 30-27 loss versus the Carolina Panthers in a high-scoring matchup. Dallas’ high-powered offense has been without star receiver CeeDee Lamb due to an ankle injury.

On Thursday afternoon, the Cowboys received a positive update on Lamb ahead of their Week 7 divisional matchup. Dallas’ WR1 has missed each of the last three games with an ankle sprain and was limited at practice on Thursday. The good news? Lamb is catching up and is set to return to the offense for Sunday’s game versus Washington.

Lamb suffered the sprain during the Cowboys’ Week 3 loss to the Chicago Bears and will be a welcome re-addition for Dallas as they look to rebound from a 2-3-1 start to the season. With their star receiver returning, receiver George Pickens won’t be forced to carry the load of two WR1s.

Pickens emerged with a stellar Week 6 performance versus Carolina in Lamb’s absence, racking up nine catches for 168 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets. Here’s a fantasy outlook for the Cowboys’ offense as Lamb gears up for his Week 7 return in this weekend’s NFC East showdown:

Entering Week 7, Pickens’ fantasy stock likely takes the largest hit with Lamb’s return. In his absence, Pickens turned in two 30-point fantasy performances over three games, including an eight-catch, 134-yard, two-touchdown performance versus the Green Bay Packers.

Prior to Lamb’s injury, Pickens endured a quiet season opener before back-to-back 17-point outings in Weeks 2 and 3. The star receiver also had a strong start to the season, eclipsing 100 yards through the air in each of his first two games of the season leading up to his Week 3 injury.

Jake Ferguson, who is in the midst of a streak of stellar fantasy performances in his own regard, could also see his fantasy stock take a minor hit with Lamb’s return. The tight end has managed a number of notable performances with and without Lamb in rotation, entering Week 7 ranked as TE1 in fantasy among PPR leagues.

In the run game, star running back Javonte Williams’ stock doesn’t take much of a hit, as he’s managed efficient production, eclipsing 20.0 PPR points in three of Dallas’ first six games of the season.

Lamb and the Cowboys will look for a rebound effort versus Washington in the star receiver’s return to action.
