We are quickly rolling along towards the 2026 fantasy football season. Before you know it, the 2026 NFL Draft will be here on April 23 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, followed by rookie camp, training camp, and the preseason. Fantasy drafts will start to take place as early as late April, after the draft.

While the season is still a while away, it's never too soon to start looking toward fantasy draft season. This is our way-too-early first-round PPR fantasy mock draft for the 2026 season.

1.1 RB Bijan Robinson, Atlanta Falcons

Many fantasy owners will go with their top wide receiver here, however, I tend to prefer an elite running back in the first round if at all possible. Robinson is the best running back in fantasy football.

1.2 WR Ja'Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals

Our top wide receiver for 2026 is Chase. That puts him in our No. 2 spot in this PPR mock draft.

1.3 WR Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams

There is a strong debate between Nacua and Chase as the top receiver, and we can see both sides of the argument. Nacua's recent off-field issues and injury history is enough to push him behind Chase for us.

1.4 RB Jahmyr Gibbs, Detroit Lions

Again, we are a bit partial to running backs, especially a high-end pass-catcher like Gibbs. With David Montgomery being traded to the Houston Texans, the sky is the limit for Gibbs. You can make a case he has the most upside in fantasy football.

1.5 WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seattle Seahawks

JSN is coming off a monster season. We don't expect much of a drop-off in 2026, but there could be a slight dip in production with the team likely having more weapons in the passing attack this season.

1.6 WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions

St. Brown is reliable and consistent as they come. He is locked in as a top five fantasy wideout year after year and usually finishes higher than fifth.

1.7 RB De'Von Achane, Miami Dolphins

Achane comes with some risk and massive upside. While their offense could hold him back a bit, he could also lead this team in targets based on their current roster. The addition of Malik Willis should also open things up on the ground for Achane because of the quarterbacks rushing ability.

1.8 WR Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings

He may have struggled mightily last season with JJ McCarthy under center, but Kyler Murray is a significant upgrade. Jefferson has proved that all he needs is a serviceable quarterback to be successful. Murray is serviceable at worst, excellent at best. We are expecting a big bounce-back season.

1.9 RB Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis Colts

Taylor was the best player in fantasy football and maybe the NFL last season before Daniel Jones got injured, and the wheels fell off in Indianapolis. His production was week-winning almost on a weekly basis. With Jones back and healthy, JT should pick right back up where he left off.

1.10 TE Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals

Every season believe before the season that we finally have tight end depth, then we quickly learn that we don't. McBride is a proven stud and gave you such a huge advantage at the position last season. He is worth the reach here.

1.11 WR CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys

Lamb falls here because we don't even know if he's going to be the top fantasy wideout on his own team. With George Pickens back in Dallas, we're comfortable passing on Lamb in the first and grabbing Pickens or another young receiver in the second round.

1.12 RB Christian McCaffrey, San Francisco 49ers

We snuck CMC in at pick 12 because of his massive upside. In a real draft, we aren't sure that we'd be able to pull the trigger on him due to his age, workload, and injury history.
