Keenan Allen Fantasy Football Landing Spots: Could He Stay In Los Angeles But With Matthew Stafford?

With both Stefon Diggs and Deebo Samuel finding homes, there are very few fantasy-relevant free agents still on the market. However, there is still one sitting out there. Keenan Allen is yet to sign with a team, but he has also given us no reason to believe that he has retired.

If he's going to sign with a new team, it's going to have to be soon, with the start of the NFL season less than a month away. These are the top landing spots for Allen in free agency.

Los Angeles Chargers

Let's be honest, if Allen returns, there is about a 95% chance that it's with the Chargers. It's the organization he played with last season and where he's played 12 of his 13 NFL seasons. At this point in the year, he'd have to go somewhere he is familiar with the system because he doesn't have time to learn a new offense and be ready for Week 1.

Last season with the Chargers, he led the team with 122 targets and caught 81 passes for 777 yards and four touchdowns. His usage had a direct correlation with Ladd McConkey becoming a disappointing fantasy asset, which could likely be the case again if Allen returns for another season. A return probably just depends on whether or not he wants to play another season.

Los Angeles Rams

He could choose to stay in Los Angeles and play for the other team in the same city. With Puka Nacua potentially looking at a suspension for his off-field antics and Davante Adams also being born in 1992 like Allen, it could make sense for them to want to add a safe and reliable option to their win-now roster.

This move would likely kill Allen's fantasy value, but it could give him a chance to latch onto the Rams and potentially win a Super Bowl ring before retiring from the league. It would also allow him to stay put in Los Angeles and not upend his home life in his final season.

Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders are in desperate need of wide receiver help, and Allen could go a long way in helping develop a rookie quarterback by being a reliable outlet on the outside. He could also be a leader in that locker room and help their wideouts develop.

If he were to land in Vegas, he could legitimately become their top wide receiver option. While he could get off to a slow start as he learns the system, he could be a valuable fantasy piece with the Raiders.
