Today's publication favors those who participate in Fantasy Football Auction Leagues. The standard format for such a league operates with a starting draft budget of $200. The goal is to draft your players based on fair value, determined by your favorite analysis. Using my projections with re-injury risks factored in, a printable cheat sheet for PPR, Half-PPR, and Standard leagues is available at the bottom of this page.

Top Auction Values

Bijan Robinson is my RB1, ahead of Jahmyr Gibbs and Christian McCaffrey. With relative value factored in, he will command $76 for "fair value," or 38% of your bankroll. Do not spend more than that dollar amount.

Josh Allen commands such a big advantage over the field, projecting for nearly 3 more fantasy points per game than any other quarterback. For that reason, he is worth 19% of your bankroll.

High-Risk Gambles

My Auction formulation has the highest re-injury risk players, valued at 15%. In other words, a "5.0" high-risk player is basically expected to miss nearly 3 more games than the lowest-risk expected players.

A high re-injury-risk player is exemplified by Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey can easily repeat his 400+ touch season, and for that reason, he is my RB1 when assuming a 17-game season. McCaffrey's devaluation still has him rated above Gibbs, who, I believe, the consensus is currently too high on.

Contrary to the hype he's getting, Chris Olave has an elevated injury risk of 4.0 on our ratings scale. Despite being my WR8 when assuming a 17-game season, Olave drops to WR11 in this Auction Chart and is worth 18.5% of your bankroll in fair value. The upside is still tremendous with Jordyn Tyson's two-month absence.

Low-Cost Strategy

When we fly down the rankings, it is nickels and dimes when auctioning on a player. For that reason, go with high-upside, safe picks. While Tank Dell is worth $5, which is a fair value, his value-over-replacement is still quite low. Favor someone else around $5 with much less risk and fairly high upside, like Chris Godwin or Carnell Tate, for example.

Many players have fair values at $2 or less. These players ought to be leveraged in their dollar-store form. I would personally rather grab a few players at $1, such as RJ Harvey, Cyrus Allen, and Ja'Kobi Lane, for a very high ceiling. If just one player hits for >1% of your bankroll, then we call that a home run.
