5 Dynasty Fantasy Football Trade Targets To Buy Before It's Too Late

It is never too early to prepare for the fantasy football season. As draft day comes and goes, the rankings will shake up. If we plan ahead of the draft, we may get a leg up on our competition. Certain players across the NFL may rise in their current situations circa 2026. The closer the season approaches, the sharper the rankings and valuations will become; the sooner you capitalize on a trade target, the better the profit may be for you. Look to target these 5 buy-low targets.
QB, Cam Ward
Ward may not have had a statistical genius of a season, but he put out top-tier tape. Ward has elite accuracy and arm strength. Now working with Brian Daboll, Ward may be unlocked. Daboll may have struggled as a head coach, but he is a quarterback 'wizard' given his success with Josh Allen and Jaxson Dart.
The Titans have now added Wan'Dale Robinson to join up with Calvin Ridley, Tony Pollard, and maybe even Jeremiyah Love. The offense is middling in talent, but Ward could easily become a top-15 quarterback. He will be especially valuable in QB premium and 2-QB leagues. Most of all, Ward will last and only get better for years to come under this newly arrived regime.
RB, Jonathan Brooks
The road back for Brooks has been long and windy. However, Brooks is finally ready to pounce in 2026 behind Chuba Hubbard. It seems like Brooks may get a shot at Hubbard for RB1, and more likely, they will split work. We saw success in Rico Dowdle's hands in 2025. Why not now, Brooks? After all, Brooks is a better raw prospect than Dowdle ever was. Dave Canales loves his running backs, as seen with Dowdle and Rachaad White in Tampa Bay.
WR, Marvin Harrison Jr.
Harrison Jr. is ranked quite high, but not high enough in some books. The situation has been a disaster for Harrison Jr. in Arizona. Amongst that, he has remained a WR2 in fantasy football. The Cardinals have now brought in former Rams Offensive Coordinator Mike LaFleur. We saw LaFleur deliver an elite rookie season to Garrett Wilson, and now he shall have a better pocket passer than Kyler Murray behind center to feed Harrison Jr., as he and his dad have begged.
WR, Matthew Golden
Golden was a total bust as a rookie; that was very clear. However, it was at the hands of the coaching staff. There is no denying that Golden is elite when used correctly. He has the open-space ball skills of the best in the league, hence Golden's great ability to return kicks. Matt LaFleur is likely to get it right for Golden, especially with Romeo Doubs opening up work as he heads to New England. Do not call Golden "dead" just yet.
WR, Quentin Johnston
The stock on Johnston should only continue to rise over time. He enters year 4, and if all goes well, Johnston may be resigned. If not, he will still find a usable home. Nonetheless, Johnston plays alongside a slot-style receiver in Ladd McConkey, primed for fewer touchdowns than the big body of Johnston. Keenan Allen may then remain as well, but he does age, and though it went well in 2026, can he actually stay healthy? The odds stack against it.
With Justin Herbert and a new, better offensive coordinator in Mike McDaniel, things look very good for the entire offense.
